The analytical geniuses over at TrueCar have released their second automotive industry demographic study, which is based on over 13 million actual vehicle registrations, covering the last two years. The data shows that more men than women – at a rate of 64 percent to 36 percent – register vehicles in the United States even though females make up 51 percent of the country’s population (according to the U.S. Census Bureau).

Brands with the highest percentage of male registrations included exotics and pickup brands. When it comes to females, there were 6 brands with 10 percent or less female registrations. Bugatti has 0 percent female registrations while Ferrari had 5.6 percent and Lamborghini had 6.5 percent. Tesla had 9.8 percent and Aston Martin had 9.9 percent.
